A wooded suburb in the northeast quadrant of Citrus County, intersected by US 41. Approximately 25% developed, Citrus Springs offers quiet living on 1/4 to 1 acre lots within 10 miles of neighboring Dunnellon and the Marion County line, an ideal location for families and retirees. The subdivision has two elementary schools and a middle school, plus easy access to Rails to Trails, a countywide biking/hiking path converted from abandoned railroad lines. Nearby Dunnellon offers direct access to both the Withlacoochee and Rainbow Rivers for boating, fishing, kayaking and other aquatic pursuits. The crystal clear, spring-fed waters of the Rainbow River are very popular for tubing and swimming. The larger metropolitan areas of Gainesville and Ocala are within 50 miles of Citrus Springs.
